ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. There is sufficient lighting and externally to discourage illegal activity.
2. A CCTV camera is installed inside the premises to deter and monitor any illegal activity. Recorded images are retained for 31 days and will be available to the police upon request.
3. Advice is sought from the Crime Reduction Officer / City Centre Safe Officers, where appropriate.
4. Fire extinguishers are regularly inspected and maintained.
5. The premises and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.
6. Prominent signage about the laws relating to children and alcohol is displayed on the premises.
7. Staff are fully aware of legislation and are always vigilant.
8. Staff insist that anyone who appears to be under 18 must produce ID or a proof of age card.
9. Acceptable ID is: passport, photo card driving licence, citizen card.
10. A "Refusal Book" is used to record details of incidents where staff have refused a customer thought to be under age.
11. The premises and the vicinity are monitored in order to ensure that children are not pressuring other customers to buy alcohol on their behalf.
