ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. Proof of age scheme in operation.
2. Close liaison with Police.
3. ID request poster displayed within the shop.
4. Fire fighting equipment located in the premises.
5. All exits are kept free from obstruction.
6. Health and safety regulations adhered to.
7. A refusal log to be kept to record dates and times of all refusals of retail alcohol.
8. A copy of this information to be made available upon request of an Authorised Officer of RMBC.
9. To operate the Challenge 21 Policy and display posters of this scheme in a prominent position.
10. To ask for appropriate identification of proof of age with a photo of the person displayed on the ID.
11. To provide training at least once a year to all new and existing staff on age restricted products.
12. To keep written records of all training provided in respect to the law relating to underage sales of alcohol. Staff to
sign and date records to confirm that the training has been received and understood.
13. To notify staff of any incidents reported by Trading Standards in relation to alleged underage sales of alcohol from
your premises.
14. To keep a record of these Notifications on file, ready for inspection by Authorised Officers of RMBC if requested.
15. To record any remedial action taken following a report from Trading Standards of an alleged underage sale from the
premises.
16. To keep and produce a copy of a 'Record of Remedial Action' if requested by an authorised officer from RMBC.
17. A CCTV system will operate in the premises and, as far as possible, be maintained in good order at all times. The
system to be checked daily and should a fault occur with the system, the fault will be rectified as soon as possible.
An engineer will be contacted on the day the fault occurs and GMP will be notified as soon as possible as the fault is
discovered and when the engineer has been called. Images from all cameras to be retained in unedited format for 31
days and made available to GMP and authorised officers of RMBC upon request.
18. Premises to adopt the 'Challenge 21' scheme as adopted by the British Beer and Pub Association.
