ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. Open containers of alcohol shall not be removed from the premises.
2. All staff authorised to sell alcohol are trained in: Relevant age restrictions in respect of products, Prevention of underage sales, Prevention of proxy sales, Maintenance of the refusals log, recognising signs of drunkenness and vulnerability, how over service of alcohol impacts on the four objectives of the Licensing Act 2003, How to refuse service, action to be taken in the event of an emergency, including the preservation of a crime scene and reporting an incident to the emergency services
3. This training is documented and repeated at 6 monthly intervals. Training records are made available for inspection upon request by a police officer or an authorised officer of Rochdale Council.
4. A refusals record is kept at the premises which details all refusals to sell alcohol. This record includes the date and time of the incident, the name of the staff member who refused the sale, and the reason the sale was refused. All entries are made within 24 hours of the refusal. The record is made available for inspection and copying within a reasonable time of a request by an officer of a Responsible Authority.
5. Customers are prevented from leaving the premises with glasses or open bottles.
6. The DPS or premises licence holder operates a dispersal policy for clientele leaving the premises.
7. Notices positioned at the exits to the building requesting customers to leave in a quiet manner.
8. Live music and recorded music will be played at a moderate background level to ensure that it does not disturb nearby residents or businesses. Regular monitoring will be carried out to ensure compliance with noise level restrictions.
9. Deliveries to the premises will not take place between 11pm and 7am.
10. Prominent, clear, and legible notices are displayed at all exits requesting that customers respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and area quietly.
11. That list is provided to GMP / Licensing Authority immediately upon request.
12. The PLH will check and retain a copy of each employee UK Passport / and ensure their entitlement to work in the UK, prior to employment.
13. A zero-tolerance drug policy implemented.

24. The Challenge 25 scheme is operated to ensure that any person who appears to be under the age of 25 shall provide documented proof that he/she is over 18 years of age. Acceptable proof of age , a passport, photo card driving licence, an EU/EEA national ID card or similar document, an HM Forces warrant card, a card bearing the PASS hologram, or any electronic or biometric age verification technology approved by the licensing authority.
25. The premises display prominent signage indicating that the Challenge 25 scheme is in operation.
26. Staff training will include the Challenge 25 Policy and its operation. In particular, staff shall be trained to take such action as is necessary to prevent the sale of alcohol to persons over the age of 18 where those customers are engaged in the distribution of alcohol to persons under the age of 18. The training must be given to a new member of staff before they commence employment and all staff must receive refresher training every 6 months.
27. No person under the age of 18 permitted to enter or remain on the premises beyond 21:00hrs.
28. During busy periods or special events, licensed door staff will be employed to manage crowd control, check identification (where necessary), and ensure that patrons behave appropriately. They will also be responsible for controlling entry and exit points, monitoring the premises for potential issues, and supporting staff in maintaining order.
29. Staff trained on fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures. Regular fire drills are conducted to ensure all employees know how to respond in the event of an emergency. The venue display’s clear exit signs and ensure that all exit routes are unobstructed
30. The venue operates within its legal capacity to ensure safe movement throughout the premises. This includes maintaining appropriate staff-to-guest ratios during busy periods to assist with crowd control.
31. The Sports Shack will maintain a cooperative relationship with local enforcement agencies, such as Environmental Health, to address any concerns raised by neighbours or local businesses regarding public nuisance. Regular communication will be maintained with the local community to address any ongoing issues.
32. Alcohol will not be served to any patrons under the age of 18. Staff will be trained to identify fake IDs and to refuse service to anyone who is unable to provide valid identification.
33. All staff will be trained on the Protection of Children from Harm. This training will cover recognizing potential child safeguarding concerns, including preventing underage drinking and handling incidents involving minors.
