ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. CCTV will be installed and maintained in working order at all times.
2. All CCTV images will be retained for no less than 31 consecutive days.
3. CCTV images will be made available immediately upon request to the Police and Authorised Officers of RMBC Licensing section.
4. In the unlikely event that the CCTV is not working, the premises will remain closed until such times as it is fully operational.
5. Members will be asked to sign a Code of Conduct for the bar and this will also be clearly visible on arrival for everyone who enters to see and read. This will clearly state that the premises operate a ‘No Nonsense’ crime and disorder policy for the premises.
6. Premises will adopt the ‘Challenge 21’ scheme.
7. Any person attempting to buy for under-age will be asked to leave premises.
8. If or when such event takes place, our members will be given ample notice of the event and the time it will be going on until and that children will be leaving at the time stated.
9. SIA registered Door Supervisors will be used during busy periods, which will be 20:00 hrs to the terminal hour on Friday and Saturday.
10. Close liaison with local Police and Pubwatch scheme.
11. Regular toilet checks for crime and drugs every 30 minutes.
12. Outside drinking not allowed at the rear of the premises after 22:00hrs.
13. Strict ‘No drugs’ policy in force.
14. Adopt a safe and sensible drinking policy.
15. Prominently display emergency and evacuation procedures for all members and guests to see.
16. Premises to be sound proofed using 150mm of Kingspan Rigid insulation for the ceiling roof, walls and under floor.
17. All walls have been studded and insulated with Kingspan giving an extra layer of sound proof.
18. Front windows have been bricked up, and the old plate glass skylights have been replaced with double glazed windows. All doorways and entrances have foyers or double glazed doors to reduce noise.
19. Freephone installed by local taxi firm and customers requested to wait inside for taxi to arrive.
20. Regular litter checks around premises.
21. Rubbish (noise variety e.g. Bottles, bins etc) will not be taken out at night time and will be stored away from the public.
22. Notices displayed within premises requesting customers to leave the premises quietly.
23. Music volume to be turned down during the terminal hour to encourage customers to leave premises quietly.
24. At any private function (e.g. Christenings) where children under 18 are in attendance, a set timing schedule will be implemented. Children are allowed in the establishment for a set period and a contract will be signed by the person who is holding the event to state that they will comply by the bars membership rules and that children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Customers requested not to leave children unattended at all times.
25. Operate a ‘No child’ policy other than the above.
26. To ask for appropriate identification of proof of age with a photograph of the person displayed on the ID.
27. A refusal log is to be kept to record dates and times of all refusals to retail alcohol.
28. A copy of this information will be made available immediately upon request of Authorised Officers of RMBC.
29. To provide training, at least once a year, to all existing staff on age restricted products.
30. To provide training or all new staff on the sale of age restricted products.
31. To attend training seminars organised by the Trading Standards Service as and when requested to do so.
32. To keep a written record of all training provided and get staff to sign and date records to confirm that the training has been received and understood.
33. To notify staff of any reports of alleged underage sale incidents that has been bought to your attention by Trading Standards.
34. To keep a log of such notifications on file, ready for inspection by Authorised Officers of RMBC if required.
35. To record any remedial action following a report from Trading Standards of an alleged underage sale from the premises.
36. To sign up to the RMBC 'Responsible Retailer Scheme'.
